Merry Christmas!  Here's our 2009 Santa in the tradition of folk art crescent Santas.  But ours must have eaten too much because he looks more like a crescent roll than a crescent moon!  Make him into an ornament or put him on a small pillow or framed piece, or think of 7 count Klostern for a larger pillow, or waste canvas for a sweatshirt or tote bag. We show him on navy blue, but it would also be good on a natural or black.  He is 50 x 50 stitches.  Happy Stitching!

Percival the Pelican

Percival sends greetings to everyone from North Carolina!  Percy, as his friends call him, is a Brown Pelican--well, sort of!  He borrows his orange bill and feet from his cousins, the American White Pelican, just because he likes the color.
We stitched Percy on 14 ct Blue Lady aida using 2 threads for cross stitch and one for backstitch.  We did all backstitch with 3371 black brown.
